Thinking back on this year and reflecting.... God has blessed us in so many ways. Each month I want to take a moment to thank someone who contributes to The Refuge. It could be through time, money, food, etc.
This month I want to thank Lewis Dewart. Lewis contributes to The Refuge on a regular basis. He is a wealth of knowledge and a great friend.
We regularly feed around 50 kids on a Tuesday at The Refuge. Our current dinning table needed changed out. Jordan Heim just finished a beautiful big table for us. We hope to move it in this week and fit more kids around the table.
The idea of feeding and eating with kids comes from Jesus often sharing a meal with people. There is something special about that time.
Movie Nights! We recently got a movie license at The Refuge. We will be showing movies and having discussions from time to time. Movies are such a great tool for getting kids engaged and talking.
We love group board games at The Refuge. The kids loved this new one... Beard Ball.

We held our first training session for The Mentoring Project. The Refuge is working with Emmanuel Bible Fellowship in Sunbury. We hope to start rolling out this program in January of 2019.
SHOES 2018!
Thanks to the John Family for another donation at Christmas time. We are supplying over 60 kids with shoes again this Christmas. See photos and more info in the next newsletter.
This week we will be giving out gifts to the boys and girls at The Refuge (its kind of a surprise). Thanks to the churches who supplied items for this occasion. More info on this in our next newsletter.
Wood Shop Setup: Help Needed
We are still looking for someone to help us with the next phase of the wood shop. We need tools laid out and work benches made. This person doesn't have to be the person to lead instruction. We simply need to get everything set up. You would be able to work on it as your schedule allows and we can supply all the materials.
Art Instructor
Do you know someone that loves kids and art?
Our art space is in need of a volunteer. We are looking for someone who can come a few times a month to lead kids in projects. Email or Call in interested.
