Once you’ve picked the site for a new facility, it is important to have a comprehensive plan that gives direction to a project from conceptual stages to the moment the first product comes off the line. Effective teamwork and communication among all stakeholders are necessary for a successful outcome.
With that in mind, the nontraditional method of Collaborative Project Delivery (CPD) seeks to get all stakeholders on board early in the process in order to reduce waste, lower costs, and improve satisfaction for team members and clients. Through early partnering, professionals with insight to project goals provide input that can help inform the design and avoid later rework, adding considerable value to the project.
