Happy New Year! I can't believe that 2018 has come and gone and am looking forward to seeing what Jesus is going to do in 2019. Thank you for keeping updated with what's happening at the U of O!

Light Conference 2018

One of my favorite times of the year is getting the chance to reconnect with fellow Chi Alpha ministers from all over the Northwest and Alaska. Since moving to Eugene, it's felt like a family reunion each time I go! This year, we got to hear from a variety of campuses sharing what programs and methods they have developed on their campuses. It's always encouraging to be reminded of the fact that we're all in this together and to be re-inspired for the next term.

This was my fifth time attending Light since I started my internship in Bellingham and it's crazy how much our network has grown and changed--this was our largest group yet!

God Provided by...

... Giving me sweet times of rest with my family over the Christmas vacation.

... Placing each of you in my life! Thank you so much for everything you do to enable me to be here in Eugene!

Pray that God would...

... Help prepare my heart for what he wants to do in this new year and give me discernment as I make some big decisions in the next coming months.

... Get our students on board for what he wants to do!

We have some amazing opportunities for students this term and we would love for you to pray for us as we get ready!

Discipleship Class is a great opportunity for students to learn about what it means to be followers of Jesus. We take them through key concepts which will not only prepare them to step into positions of leadership in our community, but will also help them to be life-long disciple-makers. Please pray that students sign up and get excited for what they will be learning!
Winter Camp is a weekend-long retreat where we get to introduce our students to the larger Chi Alpha network in the Northwest. This conference gives students a chance to see that they are part of a movement bigger than just what is happening on their campus. Please pray that God would use this weekend to direct and empower our students.
Spring Break Outreach is happening at the end of this term! We are taking a team of students up to Central Washington University to come alongside the Chi Alpha there and partner with them in ministry. What is cool about taking students to Central is that our students get to experience a Chi Alpha that has a more established culture and receive vision for what our Chi Alpha could become. Each of the students will be raising support to go on this trip, so please pray that God would provide for them and give them a greater heart to see fellow university students brought into relationship with Jesus.
