Knights Inns' new logo, brand update
LAS VEGAS — The Knights Inn logo hadn't been updated since 1981, and one of RLHC's first moves after taking over the brand from Wyndham Hotel Group is to give the brand image a whole new look. CLN sat down with Jolene Reid at the RLHC conference to talk about Knights Inns in Canada.
 
RLHC: Peanut Robotics steals the show
LAS VEGAS — To say RLHC (formerly Red Lion) is technology forward is an understatement. Among the many innovations on display at the company's brand conference in Las Vegas last month was a housekeeping robot from Peanut Robotics.
Robert Pratt now heads Sandman, Sutton Place
Robert Pratt is now president and CEO of Sandman Hotel Group and The Sutton Place Hotels. Taj Kassam, who has been at the helm of Sandman and Sutton Place for many years, has moved to parent company Northland Properties Corp., where he is senior vice-president. 
HAC lineup includes tech titan and CBC anchor

What's new from Expedia Partner Central
TORONTO—Expedia is a company based on constant A-B testing, and it has come up with a number of ways to help hotel partners, including a sophisticated rate-setting system and integration with Amazon's Alexa and Google. 
 
 
Accor's brands take root in North America
Accor has launched three new brands in North America recently. In Cuba, the first SO/ is planned for Havana. Boston will have the first Raffles on the continent. And Accor will also soon have 10 MGallery hotels in the U.S., according to Ian Ricci.
