We have a new Car!
We have been looking for a new car for a few months and many of you have contributed toward this need. We finally found one and bought it over the Christmas period. It is a good car that we hope will see us for quite a few years into the future. Thank you so much to all who made this possible. Our other car, which was a gift, served us for over 6 years before this. We are so grateful to God for providing for us. We still need to see about £1500 towards this expense as it cost a little more than what we have been able to raise so far.
(These additional costs include car tax and insurance that we have already paid for.)
Trip to Israel
Donna-Rae and I will be heading to Israel and Palestine later this month for a tour with other YWAM leaders and teachers. We will be there from the 20th of January to the 3rd of February. We will visit Arab, Jewish and expatriate congregations and look at four main areas - History, Geography, Jewish Culture and Scripture. We are looking forward to visiting the Dead Sea, Masada, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Galilee and Caeserea.
Mya and Micah will stay with their grandparents during our time away. We would appreciate prayer for all of us.
Logistics
Our greatest need is for monthly supporters as we have lost some of our long-term support since January 2019. No-one in our organisation earns a salary, we have to raise all of our own monthly day-to-day expenses as well as ministry costs. So if you believe in us, appreciate us or want to contribute to these expenses we would be so blessed. If we know we have committed monthly supporters it helps us to steward and budget well.
Please would you pray about supporting our work! If you would like to contribute you can do so by clicking donate now at the top of this page or email us for details.

Recent Trips from the last few months
Just before Christmas, Aleck was in Geneva, Switzerland teaching on "Discipling Nations" in a brand new YWAM pioneering team in the city. This was very exciting to see.
The week after this, Aleck graduated from his Master's degree in Christian Spiritual Formation and Discipleship in Burtigny, Switzerland.
He also spoke in YWAM's castle in Hurlach, Germany teaching on a School of Communication Foundations.
Finally the last trip of last year was to YWAM Harpenden, England where he spoke on another School of Communication Foundations on Communication Trends. These weeks were all wonderful times of teaching, meetings and interaction with wonderful staff and students in the UofN and YWAM.
Future Teaching Opportunities
Aleck will teach at the YWAM base, An Cuan, in Rostrevor, on the EQUIP - Ministry Development School for a few days the week before we leave for Israel.
Then, from the 11th to 15th of February he will be teaching on "The Big Story of God" at The King's Lodge in England.
He will also travel to Dakha, Bangladesh from the 22nd of February to the 1st of March to help facilitate a Uniquip Training event for the University of the Nations. This is a wonderful opportunity to impact Asia by sharing the heart behind the UofN so that our faculty there can make the UofN their own.
Then, in March, he will be teaching in Perth Australia on the Africa DTS followed by the Core International Leadership Team meetings for the UofN in Cape Town, South Africa. This trip will be from the 11th to 26th of March.
We are trusting God for the finances for some of these flights still. About £400 for Cape Town and £600 for Bangladesh. Please pray with us that God would provide for those needs. Often, Aleck needs to pay his own way for some trips where the local school does not have the finances to cover the whole ticket or cannot afford to fly him in. We trust God to provide in these unusual circumstances.

Prayer Requests:
1. Pray for the additional funds we still need to finish paying off our new car.
2. Travel expenses not covered by the College of Communication for Alecks trips - this includes flights, food and accommodation, especially for the UNIQUIPS
3. Increased monthly support. Two of our supporters recently had to either reduce or stop their support.
4. Micah as he transitions out of Primary School and into High School
5. Mya as she chooses subjects for her GCSE’s - these will be the subjects she studies for the next 2 years
6. Protection for us as a family - in all our travel, work, financially, spiritually, mentally, emotionally, relationally and physically.
7. As a family that we would be a light in our community and schools, and that God would give us the strength and the courage to stand up for what is right and true.
8. Wisdom and discernment for Aleck as he decides which teaching opportunities to take and grace and understanding for the rest of the family as we release him to do what God has asked him to do.

Happy New Year 2019!
Thank you so much for your friendship and support and for standing with us in prayer. You are a blessing to us. May God richly bless you in all you do.
May you discover God in a new way this year, and that whether your journey is plain sailing or stormy weather that God’s peace would surround you, that He will be your anchor. Whether you are riding the storm out, speaking to it to be calm or stepping out onto the water, that your eyes will be fixed on Him, your faith and trust in Him would grow deeper and that you will know the surety of His love and His grace over your life.
May this be a great year for you.
Sincerely,
Aleck, Donna-Rae, Mya & Micah
