Now I am revealing new things to you Things hidden and unknown to you Created just now, this very moment. ~ Isaiah 48:6-7
Many of you have told me how much you enjoy this newsletter and how it always seems to arrive just at the right time to impart the exact words you need to hear. I love that type of synchronicity!
Another comment I hear frequently is, “CJ, you’ve opened my eyes to a new way of seeing”. Of course, this is why I call my drawing classes Seeing With New Eyes … but seeing “differently” is what any type of creativity and the spiritual path are all about.
So, to build on that, I am very excited to be opening a new door on my own journey by introducing a couple of new ways you can experience more of “life under the dancing moon”.
The seeds for these new ideas were planted in the rich, fertile dreaming times of 2018 and now, with a considerable amount of incubation and gestation over the last six months, well, here they are, ready to launch, at the beginning of a brand new year!
If you read my New Year’s Day newsletter, you will know that I have just started a blog called “Art & Life in the Round”. The blog will have a slightly different flavor than this newsletter as it will be a shorter read and focus on a single idea, insight or experience which can be shared in a more immediate manner. As its unique voice gets honed over time I have no doubt it will evolve and change. My main goal with it though is to demonstrate the intersection points of art, spirituality and Nature and how they play out in day-to-day life at the studio and in my creative process.
My second new offering is Soul Snippets, short weekly inspirational emails I will be sending out every Sunday morning with “illuminating” bits of beauty, truth and wisdom from the Wheel of Life. Each seasonally aligned inspiration will feature a beautiful image, a thought-provoking quote and a question or two for you to ponder and see how the answers show up as you navigate your week.
My hope is that these two new offerings will complement Under the Dancing Moon (now going into its sixth year!) where I share deeper musings and thoughts I have experienced during the previous six to eight weeks. I will continue to produce the newsletter in the same format in sync with the Solstices, Equinoxes and cross-quarter days of the Wheel of the Year. Blog posts will arrive about every two weeks (or thereabouts) and the weekly inspirations will fill the “in-between” times.
If you haven’t done so already, you can check out my first introductory blog post here. As an existing member of my list you will automatically be notified via email whenever a new post is ready and a link to my website where you can read it.
Below you will see a sample of what Soul Snippets will be like. I am starting a separate notification list for this offering so if you like what you see, you canclick hereand it will take you to a sign-up form so that you receive them regularly in your inbox. The “snippets” won’t show up unless you sign up though!
As always, you can unsubscribe from either of these lists at any time if you find I am starting to clutter up your inbox too much.
So that’s it! Like the quote at the beginning hinted at, I have now fully revealed my “things hidden and unknown to you”. This is an exciting step forward in the future growth of Dancing Moon Designs but, I know that, as with all great journeys, I must “take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.” (Martin Luther King Jr.)
I look forward to walking this next leg of the journey together, under the dancing moon.

“No river can return to its source, yet all rivers
must have a beginning.” ~ Proverb
Things to ponder this week…
Think back to the source waters of your own life and consider how far your “river” has traveled. As we begin a new year, where might your river have become too constricted or even frozen? What are the most important aspects of the current that keeps your waters of life flowing?
