Updates from Johns Hopkins University Research Administration

Johns Hopkins University will host a RACC Certified Research Administrator (CRA) body of knowledge (BoK) review session on Monday, January 28. A Hopkins-sponsored study group will review and discuss the BoK in detail over the course of eight weeks, February 5 to March 28. These offerings will assist eligible staff in preparation for the CRA exam being held in May and November.
Research Administrator Certification Council (RACC) CRA REVIEW SESSION
If you would like to participate in the Certified Research Administrator (CRA) review session, please have your supervisor send an email to Tolise Daileyby January 15 certifying that you have met the Research Administrator Certification Council (RACC) eligibility requirements to sit for the CRA exam. Please note that space is limited!
Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of professional experience in research or sponsored programs administration
Associate’s degree and five (5) years of professional experience in research or sponsored programs administration
No degree and six (6) years of professional experience in research or sponsored programs administration
There is no cost to participate in the CRA body of knowledge review session or study groups. However, the cost to take the exam is $385.* Each nominee must have taken or be registered to take the following core courses for Johns Hopkins University prior to participation in the review session:

HOPKINS' ASPIRING CRA STUDY GROUP
Sessions will take place February 5 to March 28, 2019.
Members will review and discuss the Body of Knowledge (BoK) in detail. The 8-week study group is designed for new research administrators, experienced research staff who would like to expand their knowledge base, and anyone who plans to sit for the CRA exam.
The Certified Research Administrator exam is offered twice a year. Candidate handbooks, body of knowledge outlines, exam applications, and online practice tests are available on the RACC website. Cost to take the exam: $385
