Ugh. So while eating dinner last night I glanced at the statistics for Wednesday's email newsletter and realized I had used the incorrect subject line. It was not from too much holiday cheer, but simply thinking ahead as I had posted two new blog posts back to back.
The subject line should have been for this blog post: How Google, Apple and Amazon May Participate in the EV Charging Market Opportunity - if you were confused or just missed it, I hope you will take the time to read it.
Here is a link to the blog post referenced incorrectly in the previous email's subject line:
15 Shifts: How The Transition to Electric Vehicles Will Transform Industries, Jobs and the Environment
It is a rather long article, but it is in essence a working draft outline of topics I plan to cover in depth in 2019, but also form the basis of my book that I finally hope to finish later this year. Would love your input and feedback.
Updated US EV Sales Charts
While the final, final full-year 2018 US electric vehicle sales numbers from InsideEVs are not yet in, (numbers from Ford are the only outstanding) I can estimate within 1,000 units of the final numbers. As such, I've included below a few updated charts. The big news is that for the first time ever, the US EV sales market share has surpassed 2%!
US EV Sales and Market Share: 2008-2018
Top 8 Selling EVs in the US - 2018 vs 2017 YOY Sales
US Peak Internal Combustion Engine Vehicle Sales
As always, would love to hear from you - send me an email with your comments and suggestions.
