 Nutrition Trends Coming Your Way in 2019

Fighting Food Waste

According to a recent report 1.3 billion tons of food are tossed each year, but you can help cut back on this waste. Plan meals ahead and coordinate with an itemized shopping list. A little pre-planning is a great way to cut back on buying food unnecessarily. Once the food comes home, utilize your refrigerator and freezer to help that food last longer. Finally, always consider donating extra food in your kitchen to a local food pantry or shelter.

Why is sleep so important?


Get sick less often.
Stay at a healthy weight.
Lower your risk for serious health problems, like diabetes and heart disease.
Reduce stress and improve your mood.
Think more clearly and do better in school and at work.
Get along better with people.
