New Years Eve  10:00 - 3:00pm
New Years Day  Closed.

We'll be back open at 10am on Wednesday, January 2nd! Oh yep, even though the shop is closed, we'll be posting our first Makers' League project on New Year's Day, so you can shop from the comfort of home if you want!

Here's to a year to come full of happiness, good health and hope.

2018 in Review

What a fun year! What were our top projects, products and of 2018?

Of course, our BlueQ line of gum, socks, and bags is always one of our top sellers. This year we sold more gum than anything else in the shop! We love listening to people giggle at the counter.

Our new line of creative greeting cards, Steel City Em, was a huge hit too!

Luminosa, in this beautiful grey color, was our top selling yarn this year. It is hard to walk by this sample in the shop and not grab a skein. We get it.

It's a very easy project and the yarn is dreamy

What needle were people looking for the most this year? A 16" US7 needle was our most popular needle size. I probably have 3 of them in my needle bag too:)

Our top selling kits of 2018?

Cumulonimbus, a chevron scarf knit up in a beautiful soft cotton from Juniper Moon Farms was our most popular kit. It was perfect for those wool sensitive folks. Another popular scarf was our Painted Mist scarf. This easy, long, stockinette stitch scarf was a great grab and go project.

Unfortunately, both of these yarns now have very limited quantities available so we can't make any more kits. Darn!

Our Winter Games Hat was the top-selling Maker's League Kit in 2018.

Makers' League continues to be fun for us! Some months we have planned way in advance and some we choose by the seat of our pants. This one was a last minute decision that worked out:)

Makers' League kits by the numbers...
Over 700 Makers' League Kits were purchased this year.
We had 367 individual Makers' in the league in 2018!
35 Makers' bought 5 or more kits
7 Makers' bought 10 or more
3 Makers' bought all 12!

We shipped Makers' Kits to people all over the country!

Thanks for making this year of Maker's League so much fun.

We took 2 boat cruises this year, one in June and another in September.

Fiber folks are the best kind of folks. Both cruises were joy-filled outings!

We love this new annual adventure and look forward to sharing our plans for cruises in 2019.

Watch for announcements in February!

We taught 122 people to knit this year in our knit 101 (beginning knit) classes.

That doesn't include the number of people we've taught to cast on while standing at the counter:)

We've picked up countless stitches and tinked back so many rows. We've heard "oh, is that all it was?" so many times and we love it!

We love that you come to us with your knitting problems. We are so grateful you trust us.

We are grateful for you. Happy New Year!
