For me is was as easy to read as it was compelling. A simple "1-2-3" story. One verse ... two people ... three children ... that read like a "Mission Impossible" thriller. I read a lot of books but rarely one "I can't put down."
The story of "I Am Lea November" is both real and symbolic. Real in that it happened just as told. Symbolic because like many adventures and unplanned journeys it begins with a chance encounter. The ripple in one stream of time intersects with others and a wave begins to form.
"I Am Lean November", tells the story of three waves, one emanating from the pen of James the Lord's brother, a second from two hearts in whom the Word is dwelling richly and the third from an orphanage in a small remote Bulgarian village.
Wilson effectively tells the story of how each wave moved through his mind and Julie's heart. The book will take you deeply into the path each wave is traveling, how it moves, through calms seas and rough. Ultimately Wilson describes the tension, the uncertainty and then the joy as the waves meet and the storm subsides.
It is a story that begins with WHY describes the HOW we can all play, should play a role in riding the first wave, "Pure and undefiled religion before God the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and the widows in their afflictions." James 1:27
