Top Stories of 2018

As 2018 comes to a close, we’re reminded of how much new content we added to our lineup this year on JPHMP Direct. We added five new video tutorials to our list of author resources, including how to use our popular "Writing in Boxes" e-learning module, created with support from the de Beaumont Foundation. We also added student resources and introduced three new podcast  series: JPHMP Direct TalkPublic Health Perspectives, and the Editor’s Podcast with Dr. Lloyd Novick.

We added new infographics on Identifying Obesity in SchoolchildrenPrescriber Perceptions of a Naloxone ProgramReengaging Tobacco Users in Statewide Cessation ServicesEffectiveness of Dual Dispatch to Cardiac Arrest Policy, and Spices as a Potential Source of Lead Exposure. 

New videos include interviews with Dr. Amy EylerDr. Jay MaddockDr. Daniel Bornstein, and Dr. Simpson Boateng as well as two videos addressing the opioid epidemic.

We highlighted the work of two new supplements on the Impact of Public Health Accreditation and Injury and Violence Prevention. 

Last but not least, we added seven brand new columns, including Preventing America’s Next Drug EpidemicPhD HacksPublic Health PracademicsBackstories in EpidemiologyBig Cities Health CoalitionHealth Informatics Innovations and Applications, and Management Moments: Interviews with Public Health Leaders
