Grow. Give. Gratitude. Now, is the time.

TODAY is the last day of 2018 and we are so excited to have started planning for all of our 2019 programs!

Every day our staff and volunteers work hard to ensure that we are creating and maintaining safe places --sanctuaries for the children and families that come into our orbit.

We have pledged to each other and our communities that when someone comes to us, we treat them with the respect and dignity we'd wish for ourselves.

We hold hours upon hours of training in Restorative Justice and Child Development to make sure that we are practicing the values that we as an organization hold dear.

We reach out and check on our After School Program students, our Campers and the youth in the community who come bay our farms just to have a moment to step away from the harsh realities of their various environments.

We talk to our community adults to find out what resources, if any we can provide or connect them with.

Each and every one of us has committed to continue to do this work and to continue to strive to be better and more informed in the coming year.

To those supporters who have already given this year, we Thank You from the bottom of our hearts. Your generosity has touched hundreds of students, volunteers, staff, and friends of ANV in deep and lasting ways.

Join us January 20th at Chez Panisse, to support the incredible work of Acta Non Verba: Youth Urban Farm Project (ANV), which elevates life in Oakland by challenging oppressive dynamics and environments through urban farming. Our primary goal is to create a safe and creative outdoor spaces for children, youth, and families in East Oakland. Participating youth plan, plant, harvest, and sell culturally-relevant produce from the farm, with 100% percent of the proceeds deposited into bank accounts designed to enable low-income families to save toward education.
