Religion and Medicine: Should they Mix?

This forum will feature speakers both for and against the integration of religion with the practice of medicine. It represents an easy avenue to find out more about objections to integration: such as limited time, doctors not properly trained for it, it is unethical given the power dynamic, and much more. The forum will also equip you with evidence for integration: from empirical studies to ethical arguments. What an opportunity to dig deeper into this important issue and have the chance to engage with those who may have differing views.

Come join students, trainees, and professionals in healthcare and research from the Boston area and beyond at Toah Nipi Retreat Center (Rindge, NH) from Friday, February 15th to Sunday, February 17th (Weekend of President's Day).
This year's speaker will be Bill Pearson, PhD. He is an associate professor of Cellular Biology and Anatomy at Augusta University Medical College who has over 30 years of experience in medical ministry. He has a history with Boston. He helped to found the Longwoood Christian Community and the Boston Healthcare Fellowship. We are excited to hear what he has to share with us!
The theme for this year's retreat is Picking Up the Pieces of God's Image.

The Theology, Medicine, and Culture (TMC) Fellowship
|
|
The Theology, Medicine, and Culture Initiative at Duke Divinity School is accepting applications for The Theology, Medicine, and Culture (TMC) Fellowship with a priority deadline of January 15, 2019. The Fellowship provides in-depth Christian theological formation for those with vocations to healthcare. They have both one-year and two-year tracks, with the latter completing a Masters in Theological Studies degree. All Fellows receive >50% tuition support, and they now have a limited number of full tuition scholarships for those completing the MTS.
