The end of 2018 brought with it term endings for five LEAD Girls board members: Naomi Hall-Byers, Megan Regan, Maurice Griffin, Michelle Melton and Tiffany Seawright. On behalf of everyone at LEAD Girls of NC, we thank each of these dedicated outgoing board members for their generosity of time, talent, and expertise. Their service helped grow and sustain LEAD Girls, as they rolled up their sleeves and dedicated themselves to our mission beyond their roles as directors: Naomi for serving as our board chair while also leading our annual evaluations and spearheading partnership initiatives; Megan for taking the lead on grant writing tasks, seeking out new program opportunities and leading programming focused on entrepreneurship and food security; Michelle for leading our fundraising strategy and working hand-in-hand with advisory volunteers to identify and pursue opportunities to expand our funding and grow our network of support; and Maurice for serving on the executive board and for sharing ideas, feedback and input that assisted us in making school-partner improvements to our program. Tiffany for serving as the volunteer coordinator, hosting volunteer trainings and being the brainchild behind Queens For A Day. We are so grateful for these contributions!
