Two weeks in Kenya

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We've enjoyed time with family and friends at the end of 2018, and we're starting off 2019 with a packed two-week trip to Nairobi for meetings. We're seeing our team from across Africa to review 2018 and plan for 2019. We'll facilitate three sessions:
  1. How can the Bible societies of Africa use digital tech to improve literacy in adult education?
  2. Why and how can we use design thinking to improve our organization and our outcomes?
  3. In-person user testing for Alex's Transcriber app.
Please pray for us.
  • Alex has a sinus infection to recover from, and we don't want it to hinder our prep.
  • We want to prepare and facilitate our sessions well. It's a big responsibility and our first time. With tech, it's easy to get excited about new devices or apps instead of focusing on how to help people accomplish their goals.
  • Travel is stressful, and the time zone change can be especially tough on Megan.
  • Right after we get back, Alex has a major language technology conference in Dallas that he has to be ready for. He has high ambitions for change and the stress that comes with them.

Partner with us

Since our move to the U.S., two big changes have made our financial position unsustainable: our largest financial partner had to stop giving, and our Wycliffe ministry budget was increased to take into account the higher cost of living in Dallas. Consequently, our Wycliffe budget is receiving only 81% of what is needed. Will you pray about donating regularly to Wycliffe? It helps both to start giving for the first time and to increase what you've been giving.
Give to our Wycliffe Ministry

With gratitude,

Alex and Megan
