Recently signed directors/ Awards:
Directors signed to production companies in the 12 months prior to submission are eligible to enter the 'recently signed' section of any of the 4 Shiny Awards categories, which are:
- Videos by Women
- Videos by POC
- Videos by other Under-represented groups (eg deprived background, disability)
- Videos by White Men
Whilst entry categories are based on diversity categories, winners will be announced and promoted as 'Winners, Recently Signed' and 'Winners, Unsigned'. We think this a good way to ensure a diverse array of winners, whilst avoiding directors feeling their win is tokenistic.

The regular submission fee finishes this Monday, 14th January, end of day. It's your last chance to submit for £35/ €40/ $47
After that, submission fees rise to the late entry rates of £45/ €50/ $59
Entry deadlines are:
Meet the Commissioners, end of day Sunday 27th January
Shiny Awards, end of day Sunday 3rd February
What your submission fee buys:
- Every submission gets written feedback from 3 of our world-class jury network
- Every submission is considered for both the next 'Meet The Commissioners' event, and the Shiny Awards.
- Every submitting director gets a free ticket to the next 'Meet The Commissioners' event.
- Submissions with high ratings are selected for the pre-Awards screening at 'Meet The Commissioners', and are nominated for the Shiny Awards.
- Directors of submissions with high ratings are added to the #ShinyList
