Happy New Year!    Here's wishing you a great new year ahead.
On Exhibit now - Art you can own for your home or office

View of the Grand Canal: Santa Maria della Salute and the Dogana from Campo Santa Maria Zobenigo, about 1743, Oil on canvas

Several classic European paintings will be featured throughout January, including “View of the Grand Canal” (Italian, about 1743) by Bernardo Bellotto. He was the nephew of Canaletto, a painter renowned for his idealized views of Venice. Together they produced many painted vistas for tourists who stopped in Venice on their Grand Tour of Italy. Grand Tourists would have purchased these types of paintings as souvenirs and reflections of their cultural sophistication.
These images come from the digital archives of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Getty Museum, the National Gallery and the Rijksmuseum. A number of other paintings are currently on display, as well as several being added throughout the month. All the images are for sale at very reasonable prices and many are available at various sizes to meet your space and budget requirements. The "Grand Canal", for instance, is printed and on display at 38-1/2" x 68-1/2".
A personal note from Tim:
For the last year and a half we have been having a new exhibit each month. The last few months has been very difficult for me to keep up with by setting up the shows as well as printing, framing, helping customers and the other duties in the shop. This last year we had printing color issues which consumed a grand amount of time and on top of that Mary fell and injured her leg, taking her out of the shop for about two months. We've chosen to wrestle with these time constraints as opposed to hiring help because of the high cost of adding employees and all the red tape involved with it. We're trying our best to keep our costs down and our prices to you our customers as practical as we can. We appreciate your patience when or if we take a little longer than expected to produce your printing or framing orders.
Our Exhibit Schedule throughout 2019
Due to the time involved in setting up each show we've decided to cut back to one new show every other month. Each exhibit will still be up for two months duration. We may feature other artists at various times on a smaller scale throughout the year.
