Foundation Of Painting

LAST CHANCE TO BOOK

This five-week course concentrates on painting and drawing and is inspired by Anthroposophy, which opens a wider understanding of art as an essential part of human development.

The course leads us into the universal world of colour, space and perception and can be taken as a vocational training or a path of individual development. This artistic education can be a fundamental preparation for art and craft teaching at Waldorf Schools or Rudolf Steiner based pedagogy.

The Discovery Programme is an immersive twelve-week course exploring the natural world, humanity, creativity and purpose.

Set in the gentle beauty of the Emerson College campus, the Discovery Programme provides participants with the opportunity to step out of their daily life into a space of observing, insightful imagining and creative collaboration. Through more open perceiving, students are invited to deepen their creative skills and explore their sense of purpose.

We are delighted to offer a new course in biodynamic gardening and vegetable growing for anybody who is interested in a practical and hands on learning experience. Our vegetable garden and the Emerson estate will be your classroom. 

The course is a seasonal Biodynamic gardening training and is composed of a theoretical and a practical part. Participants work daily in the gardens (vegetable and estate) with their tutors. Before each action the general principles are explained, sharing the philosophy behind each move and giving full awareness of the process.

A groundbreaking course based on Steiner Waldorf with the Pikler approach to child development, play and care with a birth to three emphasis.

This Holistic Baby and Child Care qualification synthesises Steiner Waldorf international Birth to Three training guidelines, the Pikler approach, and Early Years Foundation Stage requirements. Certified by Crossfields Institute and the national awarding body NCFE CACHE, the qualification has been designed to meet the requirements of the government’s criteria for Early Years Educator (Level 3) qualifications for carers of children from birth to five, released in July 2013, whilst uniquely offering a birth to three emphasis.

Rhythmical Einreibung Foundation Course

A Crossfields Institute Quality Mark Course at level 4, open to members of medical and allied professions, carers and non-professionals. This part-time, modular, foundation course provides a comprehensive introduction to Rhythmical Einreibung, a method of gentle, therapeutic touch.

Rhythmical Einreibung is an appropriate treatment for people of all ages and can benefit a wide range of physical and emotional health problems. It can be used as part of nursing care, to apply an oil or ointment to a problem area, as a gentle whole body treatment or as part of the nurturing of family and friends.

*no prior experience required.
