Meet the Blake Family
Founders of the Autism Foundation of Tennessee & Autism ETC

This January marks the 11th anniversary of the Autism Foundation of Tennessee (D/B/A Autism ETC).  In honor of this anniversary, we wanted to share the story of our founders, Karen and Steve Blake. The Blakes founded the organization in 2008 to help families affected by autism.  

The Blake family consists of (Dad) Steve, (Mom) Karen, and their son Matthew.  Matthew was born in Atlanta, Georgia.  Karen, an experienced speech-language pathologist, was well-versed in the signs of Autism Spectrum Disorder. She was acutely aware of the signs she was seeing in her son around the time he turned two years of age. Matthew was diagnosed by a developmental pediatrician in 2003 and immediately began receiving ABA therapy.  When Matthew was three, he began attending an autism center that offered an ABA day therapy program.  Matthew showed great progress as a

Just Days Away From Completion!

We are nearing completion of a project that will change the lives of hundreds of children affected by autism and positively impact their families.  Check out these pictures of the new, state-of-the-art autism center in Clarksville and our "Save The Date"

A Few Things That We Need:

The new building in Clarksville will be completed soon.  The following is a list of items Autism ETC needs for the new building that will allow us to help more children and families:
  • Sheets (twin size)
  • Towels
  • Small Dresser
  • Washer & Dryer
  • Microwave
  • Kitchenware (preferably plastic) Cups, Plates, Bowls
  • Children's Clothes (including matching socks)
Any help that can be provided for this project will be greatly appreciated.  Smaller items may be dropped off at our Nashville location - 6515 Holt Road or our current Clarksville location - 161 Hatcher Lane.  Please call to schedule a drop-off time before bringing your items.  Call Celeste Ford @ 615-376-0034.  

Autism ETC Staff Accomplishments

The Autism ETC staff continues to grow in size and professional accomplishments. We are proud of our staff and thankful for the hard work they do each day as they serve the clients and families of Autism ETC. 
We are excited to announce the following Nashville-location employees have obtained Registered Behavior Technician Certification:  Dina Manalac and Luke Herndon.  Ashlee Fiera has been promoted to Lead Registered Behavior Technician.
We are pleased to announce our Clarksville-location employee Taylor Sellers has obtained her Registered Behavior Technician Certification.
