Dear Classmates,
Hopefully this letter finds you in good health and excited about our 55th class reunion celebration. What better time than now to renew "old" acquaintances, share fond memories, and enjoy a great time of fellowship and nostalgia together. We hope you will join us for this exciting event.
HERE ARE THE PLANS:
Date: Friday, July 12 and Saturday, July 13, 2019
- Where: Crowne Plaza Hotel 4728 Constitution Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA 70808 (College Drive Exit on the Service Road)
- Agenda: Friday: 5:30 -10:00 p.m., Informal Gathering – Natchez Room (light refreshments only; bar and grill open at the hotel if anyone chooses to have additional beverages and food) Saturday: 6:00 to 6:30 p.m., Registration 6:30 to 8:15 p.m., Dinner and Program, with time for class pictures 8:15 to 11:15 p.m., Dance with Swamp Fever Band featuring our own IHS graduate Carl Causey
- Cost: $60 per person to attend both evenings. The reunion is a package deal with cost including both nights
- Room Rates: $110, plus surcharges and 15.5% tax; includes a breakfast buffet for two people valued at $16.50 each in the Patio Grille. On-Line Registration: The code for registering is IST with website registration at: www.crowneplaza.com/execcenterbtr Phone: 1.800.678.4065
- Check In: 4 p.m.; Check Out: 11:00 a.m.; Cut-off date for room registration at this rate is a month prior—June 12, 2019; Free parking; airport transportation can be arranged for a fee by contacting the Transportation Coordinator at 225.930.0150. is a package deal.
Actions you need to take ASAP:
- 1. Complete and return the Class Directory Information Form, (whether or not you will be attending).
- 2. Mail your check to the address listed below, no later than April 1. Make the check out to: Istrouma Class of 1964.

Send us your data for our database
A 50th Reunion Booklet was given out to everyone at the July event and included as many listings as possible. If you weren't listed or want to change data - addresses, phone numbers, family info, and what you've been doing, please do so.. Many of you have been contacted recently via phone or email by the Reunion Committee and we have up to date reports. However, there area a lot of folks with old data on file, so if you haven't already done so, please send us your data using our convenient new online form or the traditional printed "snail mail" version. We would hope that most folks will use the online form since it reduces the amount of typing the committee volunteers have to do!

Missing Indians
We've maintained and updated the classmates list from our 45th reunion and will use it and recent information to keep our database current. A list of "Missing Indians" has been posted and will be updated each week as we find people and move them to the "found" list. With just a few months left, we'll need help from volunteers. Please help us find the missing classmates and faculty members.

In case you haven't visited our Gallery Pages, there are many photos there that classmates have scanned and emailed to us for everyone to see. Send us your photos along with captions. Scan at 300 dpi or less to keep the size down. Send to ihs1964@yahoo.com .
