The Day of Jesus Birth

It’s hard to fathom what occurred
The day Of Jesus birth
Into a world that did not know
God’s Son had come to earth
I wonder as His eyes looked up
If even then He knew
One day He’d be upon the crass
Or learned that as He grew
Did He know then He was God’s Son
With power beyond compare
Did He know He would die for me
And one day, God’s throne, share?
Such destiny awaited Him
As He laid in the hay
Did He knew then what He knows now
As Lord of all today
To think that such pure innocence
Was called one day to be
The savior of my very soul
Is far too much for me
I have to just remind myself
That baby now is grown
He conquered death, Hell, and the grave
And He’s now on His throne
He’s coming back again you know
But not in baby form
For He returns as King of Kings
And great will be the storm
That day the world shall hear a shout
As TVs help us learn
When satellites throughout the earth
Report of Christ’s return
The earth is His and when He comes
To all it shall be known
His bride shall rule and reign with Him
A people Of His own
So as we celebrate His birth
At Christmas time this year
Rejoice to know He’s coming back
And His return is near
Technology will help record
The coming of our King
As News reports throughout the earth
And church bells all will ring
Don’t worry He did not forget
He sees what’s taking place
He lives and breathes to keep His word
To save the human race
It shall be just like Christmas time
For folks like you and me
As peace itself returns to earth
And sets the captives free
Rejoice today with family
Faint not at what you see
Sleep well tonight and trust your God
The best is yet to be
