This year, working with our partners, we’ve completed several important national park projects that will add critical lands located adjacent to or inside our parks’ boundaries. Our projects were on a high-priority wish list provided to us by the National Park Service (NPS), and would not be achievable without the leadership and support of our wonderful donors like you!

MAKE A GIFT TODAY

219 acres to benefit the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, NY. This property was the number one priority for NPS nationwide for 2018. If not protected, it could have been turned into a residential subdivision — forever marring the trail's pristine viewshed.

35 acres in Zion National Park, UT. This “inholding” (a privately owned piece of land inside the park) could have been developed along the popular Hop Valley Trail in the Kolob Terrace.

0.5 acre parcel in Ebey’s Landing National Historical Reserve, WA. This acquisition forever preserves the 150-year-old Haller House and the natural shoreline along Penn’s Cove.

3 acres in Washita Battlefield National Historic Site, OK. This parcel is the best location for viewing the historic scene of the attack and the trailhead to the Cheyenne encampment. For 20 years, NPS was challenged to acquire this land; now thanks to National Park Trust, it legally belongs to the park.

3 acres at Lake Meredith National Recreation Area, TX. With the purchase of this last remaining “inholding,” this project “completed” the park and preserved an archaeological site containing evidence of the Antelope Creek people.

These are just 5 of our most recent projects.

Help us protect our parks for future generations. Your support NOW will allow us to continue our work in 2019 including new projects at Olympic National Park and Saint Croix National Scenic Riverway among many others. Together we can make an even BIGGER impact in the new year.
