Super Eight Loop continues to be a focus. The two new BLOODYMINDED live at No Fun Fest (2005/2006) limited edition CDs are available exclusively through our Bandcamp page. My new solo recording is available now on cassette, exclusively on my Bandcamp page. This week, I've started reviewing final and rough mixes, 4-track process cassettes, and early source material from the Ensemble Sacrés Garçons II CD, the unreleased follow-up to our debut on Old Europa Cafe.

The Fortieth Day is the duo of Isidro Reyes and Mark Solotroff, both key players in the heavy-electronics outfit BLOODYMINDED, a band known for its aggressive and confrontational live shows. In The Fortieth Day, Reyes and Solotroff utilize guitar, bass, drum machine, and analog synthesizer to create epic, blackened, psychedelic-industrial drone soundscapes.

Ensemble Sacrés Garçons (Andrea Chiaravalli and Mark Solotroff) at Cimitero Monumentale di Milano, c.1996
I just found this uncredited review used in a press release for the Iugula-Thor and Intrinsic Action collaboration, Ensemble Sacrés Garçons, released on CD by Old Europa Cafe in 1995. The album was recorded at Bass Mind in Brooklyn, by Megan Emish (Intrinsic Action/BLOODYMINDED), with contributions from Paolo Bandera (Sigillum S/Sshe Retina Stimulants). We remotely recorded a follow-up but we never quite found the magic in the mix, the running order, etc. We've revisited it in the past and maybe it's time to finally just get it done...
