"With your help, we made Nepal a kinder place for animals."

Celebrating 10 years of Animal Nepal
We finished off 2018 by holding a three day photo exhibition, with the help of The Donkey Sanctuary UK, to mark ten years of Animal Nepal! The exhibition was held between 14-16 December at Moksh, Lalitpur. The photos on display chronicled the work we have done over the last decade, such as our Working Equine Outreach Program, Humane Dog Population Management, Mobile Response Team, Godavari Donkey Sanctuary, Chobhar Dog Treatment Center along with various campaigns we have led or been a part of as well as our accomplishments in the field of animal welfare.

To bring more variety to the exhibition, we also had on display work by some local and international artists such as Michelle Lama, Noor Ali Chagani, Ruby Karki, Dolly Gurung Yakthumba and Kiroz Manandhar. For any pieces sold, the artists kindly donated a certain percentage of their sales to Animal Nepal.
There was also a whole host of other activities held over the three days. The exhibition was inaugurated following an incredible performance by the group Didibahini. On the second day of the exhibition, we had a meet and greet day with Krishna and Fudge, two of our resident donkeys at our Godavari Donkey Sanctuary. There was also an adoption corner, where we had a few of our puppies from the Chobhar treatment center. This was an especially fun day for children, as they got a chance to meet Krishna and Fudge and play with the puppies.

On day 3, we closed the exhibition by holding an appreciation ceremony for our volunteers and supporters. This was in recognition of the work they do in helping Animal Nepal, as well as the work they do for the larger animal welfare cause.
The exhibition went very well. It was wonderful to see so many people attending (close to 400) who not only wanted to learn about Animal Nepal's journey but were also very keen to find out ways in which they could help. This was very encouraging to see, especially the younger generation who have an increased awareness and interest in animal welfare.

Ending the year by celebrating our tenth year as an NGO was incredible and we hope to be able to continue and expand our work for many more decades to come. We wish you all a very happy and cruelty free Happy New Year!
