Quote of the week: 'For me, working here is like a dream job. A dream that you never wake up from.' Ms Van Vliet
Very positive resolutions from KS2. Although, 'Be kind to teachers' seems to have been left off, for some reason.
Y1 learning to master hockey and Reception making great use of the hall
Fabulous learning this week at Ash. A reminder that the second meeting of the Ashburnham School Association is happening on Monday in school at 3.45pm- we'll be looking at future projects and allocating funds. All welcome!
We had a meeting this week to announce the Y5 School Journey in March. This is the first time that Y5 have had the chance to go on a residential trip. Both Y5 and Y6 will be busy fundraising for their trips, so please look out for bakesales, table top sales and other creative ways the pupils will be working towards their fundraising targets.

Our uniform supplier School Uniform Direct is closing its shop for three weeks. All items are available online still. Check out the discount offer available 18th- 25th February.
Federation Consultation:
There is a open consultation for the proposal to extend the Fox Federation to include a third school, Avonmore Primary. Following the meeting this week, there is still a consultation information pack available here, and in paper form at the office. We would love your feedback via a very short survey here. Thank you.
Year6 Journalist Report by Iva
This has been a fabulous week. In Y3, they have written about pirates. Arrrrn't they amazing! (Pun intended). In maths they have been doing multiply and divide. Finally, they have studied rocks and fossils! in 30 years' times look for the names in the 'Top 100 Scientists Book'! Next week there will be Pedestrian Training' for Y2 and Y6 are having a bake sale to raise money for their school journey! Remember to bring money. That's all from me so see you next week!
Eco Science Committee Report
As this term's value is kindness, it's a good time to focus on being kind to the environment. Do whatever you can to help. Choose not to have extra packaging and plastic, say no plastic straws, put waste in the right recycling- all of these small actions can build up to having a big impact over all.
