We are excited to announce the call for presenters for Synergize: Collaboration in Action! This conference provides an opportunity to share your experience and to network with colleagues in the volunteer management profession from across the country. The goal is for people to experience educational, informative, inspirational, and entertaining professional development.

The conference will provide an opportunity for up to 200 participants eager to learn about, and implement: the latest ideas, winning practices, and relevant approaches in volunteer management and related fields. 

The three topics we will focus on will be: Collaboration in Action, Volunteer Management, and Innovations and Emerging Trends in Volunteer Engagement

Early-Bird registration still open!

Volunteer engagement professionals can now register for the LiVE - Leaders in Volunteer Engagement Conference, to be held at Delta Hotels, Ottawa City Centre, May 15-16, 2019.

Registration fees for the two-day conference include the keynote speakers, lunch and workshop sessions. Early bird registrants can benefit from a discounted rate until March 31st. Members from the Professional Association of Volunteer Leaders - Ontario (PAVRO) can benefit from a preferred rate.

With Collaboration in Action as the main theme, the event will also bring together Volunteer Centres from across the country. They will gather for their Leadership Forum on May 14-15 at the same venue.

Job Opening

Canadian Parents for French is looking for you! 

CPF is a nation-wide, research-informed volunteer organization representing 25,000 members across Canada and 135+ local community Chapters. They are currently looking for a Volunteer Engagement and Services Coordinator on a full-time basis to liaise with existing volunteers and bring forward new and creative ideas for their volunteer program.

The deadline for applications is Friday, January 18th.

VOscar Nominations Now Open!

The VOscars are the highlight of the year for the city's volunteers and not-for-profits, and they are now accepting nominations for the 2019 VOscars!

The event celebrates Ottawa's vibrant volunteer community and gives special recognition to those individuals, organizations and businesses that have made a meaningful difference in people's lives.

The 2019 VOscars will be held on Thursday, April 11th at City Hall. Tickets will be available for purchase soon.

It's time to recognize those volunteers and supporters of volunteerism that make a difference in our community!
