CA and NY harassment training laws have changed
Both NY and CA have changed their harassment training laws.
CA Harassment Training Update:
In CA, anyone with 5 employees or more - must now train everyone every 2 years and within 6 months of new hire. This doesn't have to be a burden. I offer courses that satisfy the requirement. The courses are online and I provide all the documentation you need to comply with the law and it is cost effective for new hires and small groups. NY Harassment Training Update:
All employers in NY state must now provide annual training for all employees - including contractors and part time employees. The initial training must be completed by Oct 9, 2019 with annual training thereafter. The training must be done in the language spoken by the employee. I am in the process of creating a NY State specific harassment training. Again, my content will satisfy the requirement and because it is online - is ideal for smaller companies as it is a cost effective option for small groups or even - newly hired individuals.
The new requirements are going to put a burden on small businesses, but my system can help them fulfill their legal obligations in not only a cost effective way - but also a humanistically oriented way.
