Found Campus Ministries in Phetchabun has an innovative way of outreach. They invest heavily in relationships in a seamlessly integrated professional and ministry context. A team from Inland Church English Ministry (EM) had already come last August, but they decided to come again this January. They've been a great catalyst for outreach to the university students, where a local professor (Ajarn Mae) with a background in YWAM and an Australian student (May, pictured above in the giant poster) who enrolled in the school with a missional purpose have been partnering to reach out to the students in a way traditional missionaries or pastors would not be able to. Let me know if you want to enroll your kid to college in rural Thailand for the gospel; I certainly did not entertain this possibility for myself.
Ajarn Mae started teaching in 2011 and it's been several years since Found started, and I've led teams there five times in the past two years, but this was the first time we had some of the university students attend the house church in the cafe established by Mae and May, called MaeMay Café. This team is also the first to set up a FB group to stay connected with the students, including plans for online Bible studies. I'm telling ya, online connections can fill the gap between time and space!
