International Week 2019: Tackling the UNs Sustainable Development Goals 

The I-Week program is out and is less than a month away! This year I-Week features Keynote Speakers, Talks and Cultural Performances. The exciting new program includes the Global Goals Talks. In 17 minutes, dynamic speakers shed light on what people in our communities are doing to achieve the Global Goals.

Next I-Work! session: Canadian Workplace Pragmatics: Keeping a Job


Join us for a highly interactive session on keeping a job once you are hired. The next I-Work! will help you understand the cultural patterns of the Canadian workplace. 

This session is perfect for students who are starting their career development or a new position. It covers communication pragmatics including making a request or an apology, cultural ideas surrounding conflict and conflict resolution, and roles and expectations.

No need to register for this session, just show up!

Share your undergraduate research enter FURCA 2019! 

URI is now accepting abstracts for the 2019 Festival of Undergraduate Research & Creative Activities (FURCA), taking place March 11-14, 2019. 

Undergraduate students in any discipline may submit abstracts to present in a variety of formats (e.g. poster, oral presentation, performance, creative exhibit, or other demonstration). 

Presentations will be judged, and cash prizes awarded at the FURCA awards reception on March 14, 2019. Deadline to submit: Friday, Jan. 25, 2019.
