We are delighted to announce that our team is GROWING! Please welcome the lovely KK to the team!
KK has been enjoying her life in the beauty biz for 32 years, representing prestige lines such as Chanel Beauty, YSL Cosmetics and others; providing makeup for TV, bridal parties and special events; and volunteering several years in designing and coordinating makeup for children's theater.
Keeping up with trends in color and skin care is exciting work for KK, and there is joy in recognizing and enhancing what is truly and uniquely beautiful in every man or woman, with the end goal of client satisfaction. “What's most important to me is that my clients feel confident about themselves after spending time in my chair.”

Research from @kelloggschool at @northwesternu suggests that clothing can have an effect on our behavior if that clothing has symbolic meaning and if we physically wear the clothing. Known as "enclothed cognition" which is described as "the systematic influence that clothes have on the wearer's psychological process". For example, you are wearing an amazing power suit (blazer and trousers), this research suggests that you will take ownership of the connotations associated with these garments.

Holly Byrd Miller was invited back again to Channel 6's 'Virginia This Morning' to discuss six quick tips for flawless makeup application for mature skin, but these tips are applicable to all. As our valued client, you are getting exclusive access to beauty tips and tricks from the best in the business right here in the newsletter!
1. Skin Prep – Hydrating moisturizer and Primer will help your makeup look flawless, fill in pores and last longer
2. Lightweight Foundation – won’t look cakey and will help you look more natural and radiant
3. Minimize Setting Powder - consider finger powdering: using your fingers to sparingly apply translucent setting powder only where you need it, especially around the eyes. And, consider setting spray instead of setting powder.
4. Cream Blush – Add matte color at the endpoint of the cheeks, add lighter color (highlight) at the highpoint of the cheekbone and the blush brings them together. Will help to create the illusion of higher cheekbones (3D cheekbones).
5. Business Card/Tape Trick –If the outer corner of your eye is dropping a little, apply eyeshadow, eyeliner and/or mascara using tape, a business card or a wedge sponge as your guide. Place it at an angle up and out from the outer corner of your eye.
6. Concealer Lip Contour - Conceal the area around your lips, to cancel out any discoloration. Want lips to appear more voluminous? After setting/blotting lipstick/lipstain, make two tiny dots in the center of your mouth with a concealer. Use a clean, stiff lip brush to blend. This will add more dimension to your lips; you can also add a lighter color gloss in the center.
