WEEKLY FOOD OFFERING
After taking a couple weeks rest during the busy Christmas and New Year week, it’s time to begin offering small food offerings again! After all, folks need help after the boon of holiday giving. Please bring one food item that would stock a wintertime pantry.
Ideas include: boxes of stock, cans of vegetables appropriate for soups and stews, boxes of crackers, warm cereal packets, packets of hamburger helper, canned tuna or chicken, jugs of juice, etc etc. This week’s offering will benefit the Greenfield Food Pantry.
HUNDRED NIGHTS UPDATE
The most recent meeting of Friends of Hundred Nights relays alarming news about the state of affordable housing in the Keene area. The shelters in Keene are full and families are being housed at Hundred Nights Shelter and have real needs that seem to go outside the usual needs for which the group canvasses.
There is one young family that lived at the shelter during the summer. They have finally found an apartment, but need things to furnish it. Is this something our congregation can help with? If you have any of the items this family needs and would like to donate them, please call Mindy Cambiar at the shelter offices - 603-352-5197. Thanks!
