Clyde is seeking to change the estimated $44B warranty industry which has thus far been relatively untouched by tech enabled innovation.

Through a press release, Eargo announced their latest innovation to provide a better offering for those with hearing loss: "Eargo Neo improves upon the core product features Eargo’s hearing aids have become known for: comfort, invisibility, rechargeability, and ease of use. It has an all-new design including patented Flexi Palms — which are made from soft, medical-grade silicone — that allows for maximum breathability inside the ear, a better in-ear fit for all-day comfort, as well as richer, more natural sound quality."

When Ample Hills first opened, they sold out of ice cream in just four days. Now, with 14 locations, including 12 in the New York area, one at Disney World and another in California, the Red Hook factory that supports it all is NYC's largest factory.

With a nod to their Georgetown roots and those going without a paycheck during the shutdown, Sweetgreen shared on Instagram that government employees could receive a free bowl at DMV locations: "We’ve come a long way since that tiny tavern in Georgetown, but the district will always be home. This Friday, many Federal government employees will go without a paycheck due to the shutdown. We hope to provide some small relief by taking care of dinner."

Also, Sweetgreen announced plans to use blockchain to better track and trace food origins—one of the most pressing pieces to be solved in the food industry.

December marked the opening of Outdoor Voices' Chicago store - it's sixth store opening in 2018, bringing their count to ten total locations. CEO Tyler Haney expects they will open at least another six this year. 

Each OV store has been designed to have its own interactive experience—and the Chicago site no exception: "...the 2,312-square foot store has several distinctive touches, including a kickboxing corner, screenings of John Hughes films, rubber flooring and moveable changing rooms that can give the space a different feel depending on where they are situated."
