Wave 1 Parishes

We look forward to seeing you at our Wave 1 Kick-Off events that will take place over the next couple of weeks!

At the Kick-Off, you will hear from Archbishop Gomez about his vision for the future and learn more about the campaign's case for support. Campaign counsel will also share top tips for fundraising. Get a sneak peek at the core principles of a successful fundraising campaign below:

Prayer – With God's help, anything is possible!

Personal Visits – Meeting with families face to face provides an opportunity to connect as a community. It also allows volunteers to adequately present the case, invite the participation of peers and thank families for their continued support.

Pledged Commitments – By providing families more time to fulfill their commitments, most can consider more meaningful gifts than a one-time pledge would allow.

Proportional Requests – We have all been blessed differently. This effort seeks gifts of equal sacrifice, not an equal amount.

Phase-by-Phase Approach – By working with small groups and increasing awareness over time, we ensure every family receives the necessary attention to make a decision about their support. Building momentum from the most involved and supportive families creates advocates who can go out and share the good news of Called to Renew to others.

St. Mary's in Palmdale receives its first campaign commitments!

Congratulations and thank you to Fr.Vaughn Winters and the associate priests at St. Mary Catholic Church in Palmdale for their early and generous support to the Called to Renew effort!

Fr. Roland Astudillo at Our Lady of Lourdes makes three campaign visits!

In addition to hosting a campaign listening session at the parish, Fr. Rolly at Our Lady of Lourdes in Tujunga has started inviting the participation of parish families in the Called to Renew campaign. With most families praying about their participation for about a week, we are encouraged that OLL will see campaign results as early as next week!

Holy Family in Artesia recruits families to attend Campaign Kickoff!

Thank you to Father Joachim Ablanida and Father John Cordero for their efforts in inviting families to attend the January 16 Campaign Kick-Off with Archbishop Gomez. Already, the parish has confirmed 20 attendees. We look forward to sharing a meal and discussing the campaign with you!
