Global Health Outreach Projects
Are you an undergraduate student looking for a first global health research experience?
Through the Global Health Scholars Program for undergraduate students, Outstanding McGill undergrads will have the opportunity to conduct global health research under the mentorship of a faculty member and receive funding up to $5,000 CAD.
Students from any faculty can apply to work on one of 21 local, Northern Canada, or International projects in a wide variety of fields including social work, psychiatry, social studies of medicine, management, policy and environmental health.
For the fourth round of applications, we have added info sessions for students to learn more about its specifics including one tomorrow Friday February 1st, 2019 at noon at the Mac Campus. ***Attendance to any of the sessions (including those held on January 15 and 25) is mandatory to apply. ***

Are you a Masters or Doctoral candidate doing research internationally in a low or middle income country (LMIC) or in Northern Canada and looking for extra funding?
The McGill Global Health Scholars program for graduate students is designed to support McGill graduate students (Masters and PhD) from any faculty engaged in global health research projects. Selected students will receive up to $3,000 CAD to cover travel costs, dissemination costs, and a small stipend.
Are you looking to report on global health or lead a global health publication?
The McGill Global Health Outreach Projects offer all McGill students (undergraduate or graduate) the chance to to either report on an overlooked global health story and receive a $3,000 US stipend as a Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting Student Fellow or become Editor-in-Chief of the Perspectives on Global Health Blog or Editor-in-Chief of the Prognosis student global health journal and receive a $2,000 CAD stipend.

The Prognosis is looking for a layout editor!
The Prognosis is recruiting a design/layout editor for the 2018-2019 edition of the journal! The Prognosis is an annual McGill student-run and peer-reviewed publication that features student research and articles on topics at the intersection of social, biomedical, environmental, global, and local perspectives on health.
The journal is supported by McGill Global Health Programs. Layout editors will assist in compiling the final version of the journal and organization of articles for online and hardcopy publication. We invite students of all departments with strong skills in layout and design to apply.
Also, don't forget we are also recruiting for the 2019-2020 Prognosis Editor-in-Chief!

The McGill Summer Program in Social and Cultural Psychiatry is back for its 25th year!
Registration for the McGill Summer Program in Social and Transcultural Psychiatry is now open. Since 1995, the program has provided conceptual background for research and clinical work in social and cultural psychiatry to students, trainees, researchers and professionals in the field.
The summer program forms part of the training activities of the Montreal WHO Collaborating Centre and is endorsed by the Canadian Academy of Psychiatric Epidemiology.
