Basics of the Perfectly Fitted Hat with Fran Jepperson.
If you have ever struggled to find a hat pattern that would work for the yarn you want to use in the shape and size you want to wear, then this is the class for you! We will use the ever popular Copycat CC Beanie to discuss how many stitches to cast on, possibilities for edging, how long to knit before beginning decreases, and how to finish it off.
Materials are one skein of Merino 840, 16" Size 8 or 9 circulars, matching dpns, and 16" circulars a size or two smaller. Homework before class is to knit a stockinette swatch — check with us for details.
This is a 1-session class and will meet Wednesday, January 16th, 10:30am-12:30pm. Class fee is $25.
Please note: basic understanding of knitting is a must!

Susie’s Reading Mitts with Fran Jepperson.
These fingerless mitts have long been a favorite with everyone who sees them. They are simple enough for most knitters and yet offer the opportunity to learn a few new techniques including how to work a thumb gusset, getting more comfortable with double pointed needles, and using a crocheted provisional cast on. But beware — when friends and family see these lovelies, everyone will want a pair!
Materials are 100g Merino DK or Merino 840 and double pointed needles in size appropriate to yarn.
This is a 1-session class and will meet Saturday, January 26th, 10:30am-12:30pm. Class fee is $25.
Please note: basic understanding of knitting is a must!
