We hope you are excited and ready for an Art-filled 2019! Our first meeting in the 'new room' got off to a good start. We had a big group--new members, visitors, returning members, and a good showing of our current members! Please scroll down to access all the news. Reminder: our next meeting is February 12th. The meeting will be at the Broomfield Senior Center in the Lakewood 2 room. It starts at 1:30 with the Meet & Greet--and for those interested, we will also be exchanging Artist Trading Cards at this time. Bring a dozen or so ATCs ready to trade. The general meeting begins at 2 with the artist demo at 3--February's guest artist is oil painter Stacy Peterson. Our 'EVENING BAG' will be that evening at the Brunner House starting at 6:30.
Our January Demo Artist was watercolorist Steve Griggs. We were all inspired by his mastery and entertained with his upbeat banter! His three main pieces of advice were: Paint a LOT, Paint from Life, and use Sketch Books!! He brought multiple sketchbooks for us to peruse. They were amazing!!
