The CO2 Systems Specialists

🇧🇬 Mikica Markovic 🇧🇬

Last week we ventured to Bulgaria - the land of the roses🌹to welcome the latest aquascaper to join CO2 Artist team.

Mikica Markovic who is based in Varna, Bulgaria, has an amazing passion for aquascaping. Beginning at the age of 12 with a single fish he kept in a jar, With a burning need to know more, he set about learning as much as he could about the hobby. It didn't take him long to discover planted aquariums and especially the world of Takashi Amanos nature aquariums.

With his love of nature and aquariums now combined, He set about researching everything he could about what it takes to create, grow and care for these wonderful underwater works of art called aquascapes.

Mikica is best known for his Wabi kusa styles and has had some success at competition level already.

His biggest passion is when he is able to share his love for aquascaping and helping new hobbyists get started just like he did in the beginning. For this reason he has recently began working on his very own aquascaping studio in his move town.  It is here where he hopes to show his works and at the same time invite people to try aquascaping and teach them all he knows.

We think guys like Mikica are so important in the aquascaping community. Introducing new people and helping beginners is what continues to grow the hobby we all love.

We are delighted to be able to support Mikica in his efforts to promote his passion and hoper you all get behind him too.

Welcome to the team!

Cryptocoryne indonesii

Difficulty: This plant is very undemanding with no specific requirements to grow successfully. With very little input required from the aquascaper this plant is perfect for beginners.

Tank Position: Can be placed in the middle area of the aquarium to form a bush effect. Alternatively you can brea the plant up and plants slightly apart to create a wider covered area.  If using strong lighting, it is advisable to place this plant in a shaded area such as under an overhanging rock or wood formation.

Lighting: Only a low lighting setting is required to grow a healthy Cryptocoryne indonesii

Temperature: The healthiest Cryptocoryne is grown in water with a temperature range of 23-28℃

CO2 Requirements: CO2 injection is not essential however as with all plants, the addition of co2 will improve the growth rate.

Feeding: Pulling its main source of food via the roots, we advice you dose your aquarium with a quality liquid fertiliser.

Note: PThe name Cryptocoryne indonesii is a common name within the trade. This plant also sells under the name Cryptocoryne wendtii Indonesia. Used in both paludarium and aquascaping it can be grown below or above the water surface. when grow above the water, the leaves produced will be narrower than when grown submerged.

Tour secret is finally out!!

For the last few months, we have been working on our plans to launch our very own aquascaping community. We are almost ready to launch our new website so we decided to share some more information to let you all know why we are so excited.

The new CO2 Artists community will offer members a place to connect with many other like minded aquascapers. Its a place to show past and present projects, share advice and ideas with aquascapers from across the world. We want our CO2 Artists community to feel special which is why we have included features such as a gallery of different styled aquascaspes, shop directory and even an events calendar so members can find and attend local workshops to further improve their skills.

Our members will have several benefits including special discounts, early access to our new products and much more.

Why not visit our social media pages and check out some of the existing co2 artist galleries already being shared.

We are currently looking for beta testers so if you have not already registered to become a beta tester, you can do so by clicking on the learn more button at the top of the co2 artist facebook page.
