2018 was a busy year for Mundus maris, with activities on three continents, almost 50 workshops, conference contributions and local public events. The last big event of the year was the launch of the Small-scale Fisheries Academy in the premises of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie in Dakar, Senegal in November. Together with our partners we continue making progress on creating livable futures for all.
None of this would be possible without your support. Regularly monthly donations, in particular, help us plan activities such as supporting safe and sustainable seafood and reinforce the efforts of a women's group in the postharvest sector in Hann, PARASE, to improve their lot. Gender and Oceans is also the UN motto for this year's World Oceans Day, 8 June.
