New 2019 Louisiana Legal Ethics Book

Thousands of complaints are filed against Louisiana lawyers each year. Many are caused by simple mistakes and innocent misunderstandings about what the rules of conduct require. If you are like most lawyers, questions such as these are troubling:

  • Old files. When may I shred them?
  • I want to leave my firm. What are the ethical considerations?
  • What do I need to do to make an arbitration agreement with my client enforceable?
  • What 10 things should I do to avoid getting a letter from the “Office of Disciplinary Counsel”?

For straightforward answers to these and other professional responsibility questions, get Louisiana Legal Ethics: Standards & Commentary (2019), a comprehensive source for Louisiana legal ethics rules, cases, and indispensable practical advice. Updated for 2019 with more than 70 new cases, significant amendments to Louisiana’s rules, and a year-in-review summary that looks back at 2018’s most important developments in legal ethics.
