Message from the Commodore
A very Happy New Year to all our members and friends.
It was lovely to see so many of you at the AGM where we quickly and efficiently dealt with Club business leaving time for a glass of Christmas cheer before the rugby started!
The General Committee members elected for 2019 are as follows:
Commodore John Wyles
Vice Commodores Eamon Timoney and Jamie Frame
Hon. Treasurer Richard Bradburn
Hon. Secretary Sharon Bergin
Sailing Secretary Hal Andrews
ISA Sailing School Principal Anne O’Mahony
ISA Sailing School Manager Kevin Percy
National Schools Organiser Tim Forde
House Manager Kieran O’Donoghue
The new membership rules along with fees agreed at the AGM are posted on the GHYC website: Articles of Association/Membership Fees.
During the meeting John and Ann Williams were nominated by the General Committee to receive the 2018 Award for Exceptional Service to GHYC.
Membership application/renewal for 2019 is now open through the EPP link on the GHYC website.
Only active members can book/pay for ISA Sailing Courses which will be available as usual from 1st February. Click the schedule of courses to see the full listing.
Our first sailing event will be the Spring Dinghy Series starting over the Easter weekend.
Finally, congratulations to all who completed the annual RNLI New Year’s Day Swim.
Looking forward to another great year!
All the best,
John Wyles
