The Feast of the Epiphany
"And you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for from you shall come a ruler who is to shepherd my people Israel."  (Matthew 2:5-6)

Let us pray:
Father, you revealed your Son to the nations
by the guidance of a star. Lead us to your glory in
heaven by the light of faith. We ask this through our
Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with
you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

- Amen -

End of Second Quarter
The 2nd quarter will end on Friday, January 11th. Report cards will be mailed shortly there after.
STOPit Solutions
We are excited to announce that our school has enrolled with STOPit! STOPit is an online reporting tool designed to deter and mitigate bullying, cyber abuse, and other inappropriate behaviors, consisting of an app and a back-end incident management system for school administrators. Moreover, students are also able to report things that may be going on with them or their friends. We will be rolling this out to our students over the next several weeks.
Safety Updates
As a means to better secure our building we are implementing the following security measures beginning on January 7th:
  • In order to limit entry points, the doors that will be open in the morning are the front south and north doors (not the front middle door) and the gym door in the rear of the building (not the cafeteria door). These entry doors have faculty members present in the morning to insure that all people coming into the building have legitimate reasons to be in the building. Please see the map below.
  • All visitors (including parents) are asked to sign in when entering the building and to sign out when leaving. Visitors will be given a visitor’s pass to wear while they are on site. This includes parents. Although an individual teacher may know who the parents in their class are, not every teacher in the building knows all parents. We want the school to be a welcoming place for parents but we also want to insure the safety of students. So if this makes for a slight inconvenience we believe the benefit is far greater.
  • We ask that parents entering the building to pick up children in the afternoon not to arrive before 2:10 pm. If waiting in the building we ask that you either wait in the auxiliary gym or in the hall way near the main office. When parents wait outside the immediate classroom area prior to 2:15 pm it causes a disruption in the ongoing learning process.
  • We are also concerned about safety in the parking lot. Please remember that the north end is the entrance and south end is the exit drive. Parents should make a circular drive and drop off students either by the south elementary entrance or the gym entrance. Parents should not drop off by the main north entrance as this creates a traffic problem.
