Happy New Year!

As we close out 2018, and move forward into 2019, we would like to thank everyone who pledged in 2018 for your generosity, and for your timeliness in completing your pledges. 99% of the funds pledged in 2018 have been received as of the end of the year, which is fantastic! If you have not yet completed your 2018 pledge, we encourage you to do so as soon as you’re able.

Looking forward to 2019, we set an ambitious budget which was unanimously approved at the congregational meeting on December 9, 2018. Our 2019 budget is relying on over $466,000 in pledges to carry out our shared ministry. To date our 2019 pledges total $416,000.

If you find value in our community and our shared ministries, help UUS continue to thrive with your financial support! If you haven’t yet made a pledge, please pledge so that we might make our goal! If everyone who has not pledged would do so, we believe we would easily make budget.

If you’ve already pledged for 2019, consider whether you might be able to increase your pledge. While a $50,000 shortfall may seem significant, it really isn’t! If everyone who has turned in a pledge for 2019 were to give an additional $23 a month, or about $0.75 a day, we would fill that gap with ease.

Did you know we pay more than $7,000 per year in fees to accept credit card payments? You can offset those fees by giving through Realm directly from your checking account using your bank’s routing number and your account number instead of using a credit or debit card. If you need assistance pledging, setting up payments, or changing your pledge, Emma Barnum, our congregational administrator would be happy to assist (337-3443 or admin@uusic.org).

2019 promises to be an exciting year in our history as we begin the process of searching for a new settled minister, and we continue to touch hearts, change lives, and transform the world. Thank you for your continued support, and may the new year bring you health, prosperity, and blessings.
