Special Guest: Dennis Ducklow

Jan 8th, 2019

Happy New Year to all and welcome to another exciting year with the Tri City Photo Club.

Our first meeting is Tuesday, January 8th and we have a full and extremely interesting evening in store for you.

We are extremely lucky enough to have a well known guest speaker joining us. Dennis Ducklow is a professional photographer from Langley who teaches courses and conducts workshops, sometimes with Chris Harris, another professional from the Caribou region. Dennis will be teaching us the art of creating double exposures in our cameras. He will explain the process and then give us time to practice, so remember to bring your camera with you on January 8th.  You can find out more about him on his website: www.doubleexposure.ca/

Next Meeting - Jan 8th with Special Guest Dennis Ducklow

Those of you who attended our December meeting will remember that we received a photo challenge to work on over the break: capture an image of “joy”. Please bring your favourite one image to Tuesday's meeting; we look forward to seeing your interpretations.
  • Size your photo 1920 x 1080. Here's a link to an old newsletter with Photo Tips for Sizing Images
  • Name your photographs: FirstName_LastName_1
  • Bring the photo on a thumb drive - remember to name your drive so that it does not get lost.
Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Cheers,
Judy and Elizabeth

FaceBook Group

The Tri-City Photography Club (Canada) FaceBook group was created to give members a place where they can share their work, ask questions, and ask for critiques about their images in a safe environment. In addition, we will be able to post events, such as fieldtrips. Since the group is closed, only members will see posts and comments.

The link to the group is https://www.facebook.com/groups/119797755367552.

REMINDER: Because it is a closed group, you will have ask to join before you can start uploading images or commenting. As long as you are a member in good standing (membership dues up to date), we promise to let you in!

We want to see more of your work, so we encourage all members to post images here. Your photos do not have to be related to an assignment or fieldtrip. Use this space to ask questions about your images, equipment, locations, or any other photography related query you have.
