Two Houses One Heart Campaign Update
|
|
|
We are pleased to announce the successful completion of our capital campaign. The Hospital Hospitality House embarked on the campaign with the goal of better serving our guests by building two ADA accessible homes close to the hospitals. We are thrilled with the cozy atmosphere at both homes because of the generosity of all of our donors.
One component of this campaign was to grow our endowment to help cover the anticipated cost increases of operating two facilities. As a result, HHH is well positioned to continue to provide a warm welcome to families and patients for many years to come.
Permanent donor recognition signage will soon be in place at both Houses. Follow this (link) to see the complete list of Two Houses, One Heart donors. It's impressive and we are grateful. Thank you so much for your generous and steadfast support!

In 2018, our first full year of operating two facilities, HHH welcomed ~1,227 guests and provided ~6,060 guest nights of service.
These are about 80% and 65% increases, respectively, over our "South Street only" days.

Alpha Delta Kappa-Chi Chapter "angels" descended upon the new Burdick Street House in January armed with everything that makes a kitchen work: dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, and pans...the list goes on. They also filled our pantry with a starter supply of paper, laundry, and cleaning products.
And while the kitchen was being stocked, local decorators and designers were busy making the guest rooms and other areas of the House welcoming and functional for our guests and staff.
Practically all furnishings and design talents were donated, allowing us to spend very little out of pocket to set up very comfortable house keeping.
It was an amazing time and we are grateful for each and every one of our volunteers!
