Dear Friends:
By now, I hope you have each received a letter in the mail with the following news: As one year closes and another begins, I write to share some bittersweet news: effective in late March, I will be stepping down from my position as Senior Pastor at The Old Meeting House Church. I am nothing but grateful for the seven and a half years we have served together, and I am eager to see what God has in store for you in the years to come. After much deliberation and soul-searching, however, I have come to the realization that it is time for me to begin the next chapter in my ministerial journey. As such, I have agreed to be the candidate for Senior Minister at the First Congregational Church UCC of Burlington. Should the Burlington congregation choose to call me, I will begin my service there in late April....

THIS SUNDAY
It’s always a little surprising when the church calendar goes straight from the Magi visiting the infant Jesus to the adult Jesus being baptized, in the Jordan River, by his cousin John. This Sunday, we will celebrate the Baptism of Christ with a baptism! And communion! Please join us as we are reminded that the words, “You are my beloved,” are meant for all of us; rejoice with us as we welcome a newly baptized member of our community; and break bread with us as we share the meal Jesus spreads for us as a symbol of God’s unending love.

OMH Annual Meeting, January 20, 2019 at 11:00am

Members and Friends of the Old Meeting House shall meet to:
1. Hear reports of all the officers and standing committees;
2. Adopt a budget;
3. Elect officers and committee members; and
4. Transact such other business as may properly come before the meeting.

Warming Tuesdays
Volunteers are welcome to provide light meals, every Tuesday from 5:00-8:00pm, at Trinity United Methodist Church downtown Montpelier. Woodstove Group: Dive deeper into fellowship time at the OMH. Meets (usually) every other Sunday at 11:15am in the nursery.
