Call For Art: BHMK Exhibits
 
In February, the 2nd Annual Black History Month in Kingston will feature a citywide art exhibition, “400 Years: The Struggle & Celebration.” Artists are invited to submit works for this non-jury show which will showcase and pay tribute to the legacy and contributions of African-Americans in Kingston and the surrounding areas. ​

Glenn deWitt: A Practitioner Inspired by the Masters
 
Photographer Glenn deWitt is not particularly interested in trends. “I enjoy and am inspired by the masters in my field. New work is simply not as appealing to me as the older work done.” Look for semi-annual exhibitions of deWitt’s stunning work in his soon-to-be-reconfigured studio.

City Hall to Host Four Art Exhibitions in 2019

Kingston City Hall will mount quarterly art exhibitions to showcase Kingston artists throughout the year. The first exhibit features alumni of Pop-Up Gallery Group (P.U.G.G.) and will be on display during regular City Hall hours until March 31. Kingston Mayor Steve Noble says, “We are committed to continuing to support our growing arts community.” ​
