Hope your new year is going great. Many thanks to everyone who came out to the Final Mission party and fundraiser at the Elbo Room. Besides having an unexpected extra chance to say goodbye, it gave us an opportunity to see many old friends, and raise money for Direct Relief to benefit California Fire Charities. Be sure to check out the new Elbo Room Jack London in Oakland.
Lots of fantastic events coming your way! This Thursday, I'm stoked to be spinning once again with the Smoked Out Soul Crew at Monarch. Watch out for the return of Super Soul Sound Clash. Next Thursday, I'll be at one of San Francisco's best happy hour events: Nightlife at California Academy of Sciences. In February, I'll be involved with two shows celebrating Bob Marley's birthday: Groundation at The Independent (Feb 5), and an all-ages show with Sol Horizon with Native Elements at Slim's (Feb 8). I'll also be opening for two of Sly & Robbie & Bitty McLean's shows,at the New Parish in Oakland (Feb 13) and 19 Broadway in Fairfax (Feb 15). Full details below.
