EQUAL@WORK  | January 2019
This is the year that will define the future of Europe
The European Network Against Racism wishes you a great year in 2019, working together for a people centered inclusive agenda for Europe. Challenges for a just society are growing as forces of hate are gaining momentum. Far-right movements are portraying themselves as the representatives of the disenfranchised population of Europe. Time for all of us to work together and make Europe for everyone, to set an inclusive rights based agenda for Europe and walk the talk.
ENAR wishes you strength for the challenging year of 2019
2019 will be a year that will define Europe for years to come. We at ENAR are working hard as ever on a range of topics in advancing an inclusive Europe. To make a Europe that works for everyone. It will be a challenging year for progressive change makers around Europe. Therefore, we hope to work together with all of you to make our common future better and more inclusive. #EuropeWeWant #FeministAntiRacist

ENAR's Equal@work Platform brings together employers from the public and private sector, social partners, NGOs, public authorities and political institutions to explore progressive ways to operate workplaces that are open, equal and free from discrimination.

Josh Bersin called diversity and inclusion one of the hottest topics of 2019. He has said that it is “not an HR program, but a business strategy. To Retain Employees, Focus on Inclusion — Not Just Diversity
To retain talent, most organizations offer the typical things: free coffee and tea in the break room, competitive benefits, generous raises and bonuses, and employee recognition programs. Picture, for example, a Muslim who prays in his car because he doesn’t want to advertise his religion, a mother who doesn’t put up pictures of her children so that coworkers won’t question her commitment to the job, or a gay executive who is unsure whether he can bring his partner to company functions.
