The 2019 Tall Ships Races will take part between the 3rd of July and the 4th of August. Starting in Aalborg, Denmark, the vessels will race to Fredrikstad in Norway. After a few days of celebrations, the fleet will then embark on a Cruise in Company leg, sailing without hurry along the famously beautiful Norwegian coastline to Bergen. From there, the last race will bring the vessels back to Denmark, where the finishing celebrations in Aarhus will end this year's event.

75 years after the D-Day in Normandy the Liberty Regatta celebrates peace and friendship. You can take part in the event by joining one of the Tall Ships sailing from northern France in a race on the English Channel, before reaching the Netherlands. In Scheveningen, just outside of The Hague, a large celebrations will be held for crews and spectators alike.

There will be at least 12 International Exchange journeys for you to choose from in 2019! This type of trip combines all of the usual Sail Training activities with additional program: games, national snacks, competitions and discussions. Aside from the sailing crew, there are Windseeker mentors on board, who will help you find your place on board.
 

A special kind of exchange is an Erasmus+ founded programme for young people from selected countries. These journeys will have a theme, and in 2019 all of those will be connected to sustainability. You can be involved in marine research, collecting water samples, fishing plastic out of Amsterdam's canals or visiting an island running 100% on sustainable energy. The organisation By the Ocean we Unite will ensure the high quality of the pro-ocean program.
